I don’t make any money from Medium, or YouTube, and taking clients is the only way I’m currently bringing in cash. (working on expanding that… stay tuned). If you like what you read or listen to for free on YouTube, sending a little note my way would really mean a lot. I also love your comments!! So leave those too! ❤

I have been sitting on this idea for what feels like forever.

Almost a year, in fact. And for some reason, it wasn’t ready to come out until now.

Actually, there’s lots of reasons. The astrology had to align. The world had to shift on its axis, again, to be prepared for the new perspectives I’m going to throw at you.

And frankly, we all had to be ready to hear something different.

In January of last year, I wrote an article called “the number one channelled message for 2024” — which was about dropping this whole “lone wolf” mentality and embracing each each other, our guides, and our connection to the bigger picture. I still believe that; and that approach is going to be pretty much non-negotiable moving forwards. So, do the thing that makes you feel connected. Join the choir. Start the podcast. Do the coffee hang even if the coffee is always tepid. Go.

A few months after i wrote that article, however, I started getting messages about 2025. I know, I know, way early. (If you’ve ever been a client of mine, you’ll know I have a knack of predicting things that are pretty far out. I try not to give my clients exact timelines (because timelines can always shift and collapse, especially if you make an internal change within yourself), but what I see can often be at least 8 months out. Sometimes over a year. It is actually helpful, in the long term; I promise. (Otherwise you wouldn’t have booked ;)

And so, being the dutiful and motivated starseed I am (and also a nerd), I listened to the guidance I started receiving in march about 2025.

And again in July.

And again in September.

In october, it started to feel like if I didn’t write this damn article, I was going to melt down into a pool of silvery-gold energy and never write another word.

And yet, I couldn’t ‘find the time’ to sit down and write.

During this writer’s block time, I started reading Sarah J. Maas’s “A Court of Thorn and Roses (ACOTAR, for those who aren’t already super-fans). The book is the first in a series of five that detail the intricacies of a complicated landscape of the life and wars of the Fae.

I have always been obsessed with faeries. I’d seen a few growing up — birds that never quite looked like normal birds, odd flashes of light in the middle of the day time in a forest, a frog that seemed a little too “human” for the interaction I had with it. And while I’ve always had a relationship with the energy of the Fae (also known as Elementals), I never quite understood how they would relate to me in my life. Until now.

I work as a healer. Many of you know that. I spend my days writing articles, creating content, recording meditations (painstakingly slowly, sorry folks), and doing readings for clients to help align them with their highest and brightest possible timeline. If you’ve read this article, you’ll also know I’m in the middle of doing that ‘big-leap-of-faith’ people talk about and scaling my business up and consquentially changing my life. It’s a work-in-progress.

Throughout the years of building my reputation for the work that I do — through attending Spirit expos, hopping on other’s youtube channels (before I had a good grasp of how to use lighting in videos, cringe), and writing Energy 101, the surge of new-age spirituality has swept its way across the internet in a wave of sparkly, bright fog that’s got people totally saturated with buzz words like “lightworker” and “ascension”… and has left people… confused.

And it’s started to piss me off.

The “pop-spirituality” has been shoved down our delicate human throats, enforcing the idea we must “rise above” everything wild that’s currently going on; staying on our “eagle’s perch” and connecting constantly with our “higher selves.”

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a grain of truth to all of this, especially when it comes to not getting totally entangled with all the fear and lack and cortisol sweating-energy of what’s going on in the trenches of our human species right now. I also firmly believe in having a relationship to your higher self — the version of you you connect with to assist you in times of need, when making difficult decisions, and during deeper meditations and trances journeys.

The idea to constantly “rise above” it all, however, is starting to feel a bit stale on the palate. For most of us, not only does that feel a bit like a cop-out (especially when we’re community-minded beings and want to make a positive contribution to the world around us), but it’s also starting to feel inaccessible to our daily lives. We can’t just “rise above” the tension on a public bus when someone who is having a really, really, bad day starts to implode in your near vicinity. And we can’t just “rise above” your child’s teacher who has some really whack political views and feels the need to projects his belief that the world is going down like the titanic to your child’s class, daily. (it’s not, I promise you).

So how, then, do we navigate all this? How do we weave the magic we want through a world that is telling us to just “be above” it all without adopting a “better than” mentality? How do you create and manifest the reality we’re dreaming of when we feel like what we’re being taught to do is ignore our current environment and reality?

Well, we shapeshift.

Adjacently.

Enter: the teaching of the elementals.

ELEMENTAL MAGIC:

This term was initially coined by Doreen Virtue in the early 00s in her book Earth Angel Realms. Elementals, more popularly known as faeries or members of the fae, are any type of energy / being that lives on the other side of the veil.

They don’t live in another dimension, like some of our more galactic friends, nor do they live in a 6th, 7th, or 11th realm — an alternate reality where only 5D consciousness hangs out. Elementals (which include fae, gnomes, yes, dragons, and other earth-bound type spirits) live on earth with us. Yes, Here. They just live in a different… reality.

If you’ve ever read Neil Gaiman’s “stardust”, or have ever fallen down the rabbit hole of “believers” scattered across Ireland and the rest of the U.K., you’ll have read about how Elementals exist — right alongside us. They too, live on Gaia, and exist in their world without being “above” anything or anyone else. They’re just …. Adjacent. Adjacent in a world where magic, power, and self-mastery flows, creating a more harmonious environment than our … current day-to-day embodiment.

Elementals and humans live in totally different realities that occupy a shared space on earth. And from all the messages I’ve been getting about 2025 “being an elemental year,” I’m starting to understand why. Hold onto your hats, we’re about to buddy-up.

In order for us to thrive and create the reality we want, we must anchor into a frequency that emits love, abundance, connection and creativity. We must anchor into love; into the belief that we can create our reality; and we must then embody the emotions, actions and beliefs that will help us to attract that reality from the inside out. This concept is the life’s work of Joe Dispenza, and if you want to understand more intricately how on earth you get to that point, I’d recommend starting with one of his many books.

That being said: we live, breathe, and share a world where there is a lot of turmoil, fear, and lack mentality floating around. We see it on our daily commute, at family dinners, in political elections. “Rising above” all this to create the reality we want doesn’t always feel like an option.

The message I received from the Elementals is that we can co-create with the universe to attract the life we want — without having to totally block out those who are… not on the same path as us. We can, in essence, live adjacently to all the hecticness that seemingly surrounds us — without giving up our lives and retiring permanently to the woods.

The trick comes down to focus. When we spend our time anchoring into what we want — and doing the actions that clear the way to make that possible (by taking care of our bodies through movement / real food and our minds through breathing practices / visualizations), then it is completely, 100% possible to create our dream reality without having to pretend the poor, stressed out soul on the bus having a meltdown doesn’t exist.

We’re not here on earth to “shut out” those who aren’t on the same path as us — those who are making different choices, struggling with different roadblocks, or were given a different hand in the great card-shuffle of life. If our path to individual success means completely blocking out what exists around us, we’re going to end up like that parable of the guy on top of the mountain who is the loneliest man on earth. That’s not where the earth is headed. And that’s not where we’re headed, either.

The future you want — the reality you’ve been dreaming of — the life that you’ve dared to put on paper, dared to vision board about, and maybe even dared to say out loud, is something that can exist in peaceful co-existence with the other realities that exist here on earth.

Trust me. The elementals have been doing it for a millenia.

I have a new instagram! come follow me at https://www.instagram.com/kate.lightstone/ for more spiritual chit-chat and announcements of upcoming workshops and events.
