Timeline Shifts are Weird
The essence of disrupting your life’s status quo

I don’t make any money from Medium, or YouTube, and taking clients is the only way I’m currently bringing in cash. (working on expanging that… stay tuned). If you like what you read or listen to for free on YouTube, sending a little note my way would really mean a lot. I also love your comments!! So leave those too! ❤
Timelines shifts are weird.
(truly. Weird enough it was worth mentioning twice. In a row).
On one hand, you feel like you’re embarking on a journey & adventure that is taking you in an undoubtedly new direction. It has to be good, because everything simply feels too radical for it to really be a bad thing.
On the other hand … It… kinda looks like chaos.
(I recorded the essence of this post here, if you’re a listener-type).
The Power to Choose
The funny thing about shifting timelines is that it’s a culmination of all the work you’ve been doing up until this relatively snappy quatum collapse. You’ve trained for it — you did the journaling, the meditating, and the releasing to get yourself there. The only time you find yourself in a state of collapsing timelines is when you’re in a perfect place to embody a new way / state of being.
Timeline shifts happen in two ways:
The Fairy Godmother Collapse
You wake up one day and everything is just …different. I like to call this one the Fairy Godmother collapse, because it’s like your cutie little fairy godmother who looks out for you appeared in the night, like she’s a long-distant relative of the tooth fairy or something and all of a sudden, *poof!* you wake up and things are just … different.
There’s no going back.
This feeling can be equated with the same type of time-space-limitlessness that comes after a deep trip with plant medicine or some other significant spiritual endeavour.
You wake up the next morning, and all of a sudden you don’t go directly for the coffee machine, but instead you drink a glass of water.
And instead of checking your phone first thing, pouring your brain and precious am attention (seriously friends, the first two hours of your awake time are sooo potent and precious), into the world of the great-comparison cycle-plug-in, you look outside. And see birds. Or maybe some weather. Hell, maybe you see a unicorn. Who am I to judge?
From then on out, things are just … different.
And from there, as all things do, life unfolds.
The Chaos Collapse
The second way (and truthfully, the way timelines shift about 2/3rd of the time — because of the flexibility and responsiveness of us as humans to life), is what I like to call… the chaos collapse.
It looks like this:
You have a plan for something that feels like it’s going to allow you to open a new door. Maybe it’s a new job. Maybe it’s a trip. Maybe it’s making a change in your health, like starting to go to the gym or going for more walks.
But instead of things slip-snip-snappitiying into place, from the moment you embark, things feel like a mix between a circus of mishaps and a steamrolling snowball of the world’s most colourful shitshow.
To call it challenging would be to like calling a third-degree burn “sunkissed.”
This type of shift is the most recent timeline leap I’ve found myself in the midst of.
I planned a trip to visit some sun and vitamin D after four years of purging, battling health issues, and, well, levelling up. I’d been so excited about this trip for months, knowing it was going to bring me some of the shifts I’d been working diligently towards. I’ve spent all winter tending to the garden of my soul — learning how to feed myself well (harder than it looks for neurospicies!), diving deep into my fears and limiting beliefs and caring for my body.
All will go to plan, yes?
… *crickets* …
Instead, in the span of five days, I have:
Gotten a sinus infection that spread to my ears and quickly gave me an entire body fever, resulting in me getting a shot in my *booty* with dual-acting antibiotics
Gotten scammed by a scammy rental car company and charged $1700USD (I’m canadian, so that was $2,444 in our currency) for false insurance charges
Arrived at my (private) accommodations that were actually within spitting distance of my host’s entire extended family, including upwards of 6 grandchildren, one set of grandparents and multiple horses that came with scatterings of horse dung all around the property (the people themselves were lovely! But… not exactly as advertised). The internet worked 1/10 times (no bueno when this is a work-intended trip); we lost power on the first night which resulted in a GIANT spider dropping from it’s hiding spot in the ceiling directly in front of me and then scuttling somewhere unknown in the accom, and there was some *very* old fish trapped in the sink drain of the kitchen so the smell was… you know.
My Canadian bank account got broken into while I was travelling, so everything got locked and the only way to unlock it is to return to the bank branch, in-person, in Canada.
Sounds fun, right?
Here’s the thing.
Ever heard the term “compression turns coal into diamonds?”
Despite what it looks like from the laundry-list of mishaps, or the handful of valid occurrences that would allow me to shift into complaining and blame, this is a really common way we experience a big-time level-up.
When we are pressed up against a wall, in the midst of an upgrade / potential timeline shift, we have two choices:
we can either:
a) Sliiiiide into victim mode and continue to act / respond as our old habits / stories / beliefs have had us do and essentially spin our wheels for a while, achieving nothing but a good, but hectic story to share the next time someone asks “so how was your trip?”
OR,
b) We evolve into rocket-ship-level-up-diamond-mode, and see this series of unusually ridiculous mishaps for that they are: A set of challenges asking us to step into our power and claim the responsibility for co-creating our life. We do experience some purging, of course — financial loss, physical purges, a wee bit o’ taxing on our nervous system — but at the end of the day, the way we choose to navigate these hiccups (in my case — fight the rental car company, seek help ASAP with the infection instead of “powering through” and level-up my accommodations which came through at a rate of 90% inexplicable synchronicity), is how we anchor into the true timeline shift.
Chaos is creation
At the end of the day here, what I’m getting at is that quantum leaps and timeline shifts don’t have to look clean or pretty in order to be real, legit and powerful.
In fact, the more chaotic they are, the more you’re anchoring your body and mind into a new way of responding, behaving, and acting — which will ultimately serve you in this new level you’ve just achieved.
The Key
The key here, in the midst of all this inexplicable change that has you questioning pretty much every decision you’ve ever made (you got that right — I still feel that way when a big shift is coming!), you have to lean into trust.
Trusting the universe, yes, but most importantly, trusting yourself.
Because you are an expression of the universe.
There is no separation there.
And trust me when I say:
I promise you, good things are coming.

Kate

I’M DOING SOMETHING FUN:
→ I had soooo much fun doing the Ribbit reading deal from This article back in October, that I’ve decided to do it again.
⚡BUT THIS TIME IT HAS 10x THE FUN. ⚡
Instead of doing a session deal at $100USD (my last reading special), I’m giving my readers a slightly-ridiculous package to fit my current slightly-ridiculous state-of-mind.
The packge contains:
Ten (10!!) one-on-one sessions with me — (normally valued at $249 USD / per session)
Two (2) C u s t o m guided meditations I will write and record specifically for you and what you need on your journey. It will include specifics tailored to you, sound healing done by me… the whoel she-bang. (valued at $77USD / per meditation, and something I haven’t offered since 2021)
One (1) follow-up 30 min connection call to anchor in and ground and final thoughts at the end of the journey / after all your sessions are complete. (Any one else find they have a million questions AFTER something is over??) (Valued at $55USD)
⚡All of this I’m going to offer for $1111 USD. ⚡
The total value of all the fun things put together on a normal-normie day is $2699.
So you’re saving $1588USD. …Which is… a 41% discount.
I think that’s fun. 😎
I’m offering it up to five homies from my readership! First come, first serve my friends :)
If you’re interested, or want to hop on the flow carpet of transformation, email me at kate.lightstone@gmail.com, or drop a line in my contact form at www.katelightstone.com with the Heading TRANSCEND.
** I’m currently building a self-paced program for anchoring into the magic of liberating the body, and running a live-container with special humans in July, so I don’t know when I’m going to offer this again! I’m feeling wild and crazy, in the best way!! **
Let’s do this my friends. It’ll be fun, I promise :)
