The Return
I recently wrote and article about the deep, dark, inky, expansive blackness of the void of the divine feminine.
The divine feminine is on a deep, sacred rise (can you feel it?) much like the inevitable rise in tide that accompanies the swell of the moon.
For someone, it’s causing a sense of peace, of slowing, of expansiveness.
For others, it’s causing contraction, blocked throat chakras, and a deep sense of imbalance.
Maybe you’re experiencing a bit of both. The world is woven more closely together than it ever has been before — a gentle reminder that no matter what you’re feeling, we’re all meant to experience this together!
Energy Expanding
The feminine upswell has been a long time coming. Although Gaia is a feminine planet and female system (opposed to mars, for example), we have been operating under oppression of the Feminine for thousands of years. It’s crazy how long our planet Gaia has continued to exist, create life, and support growth while operating under a schema that oppresses the creation of life itself. (No rest, no time for rejuvenation, no cycles of death an rebirth — just constant growth).
…No surprise things currently feel a little unbalanced.
we know this already. And if you’re in the ascension process, beginning to reconnect to your body and life-force, as well as the spirit that lives within you, you may have begun to feel the shift of the feminine within you, too.
So where do we go from here?
And The Seasons Go Around
In my article about the sacred masculine in 2024 I talked about some of the keys roles the sacred masculine plays in the support of the planet: an ability to hold space, embodied action, the creation of safety, security and grounding.
The divine feminine asks us to shift to the way other end of the spectrum as we prepare to support ourselves (and the embodied femmes we care about) to rise.
If you feel confused in the process, or are unsure about the pace you should be moving in while integrating this expression of the feminine, we luckily have a built-in guidance system everywhere we turn on planet earth!
Nature.
Her Law
If you’re in the Northern hemisphere right now, nature is sleeping.
She is soft.
She is dormant.
She is (according to our dominat narrative of hustle), oh-so-painfully slow.
But slowness brings rest.
And culmination.
And cultivation of energy, insights and epiphanies.
You know how in pop-psychology we often talk about the need for integration in our experiences? The need to integrate the past from our childhood, the good experiences (and the bad), in order to fully digest who we have been up until this moment? This is what we’re doing here right now up North.
If you want to connect to the divine feminine within you, or even the larger divine feminine that creates the heartbeat of the planet (hello, Mama Gaia), take a look to nature and her cycles.
What is her pace?
Where is her movement?
How is she tending to her living beings, flora and fauna, so she can burst forth and express herself in spring?
Aside from all the sage-burning, prayer-tending, and somatic prowl-dancing, (all of which I love, don’t get me wrong), the simplest way to connect to the Divine Feminine is to imitate and emanate the graceful cycles of nature.
Flip Turn Upside Down
Now — if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, the opposite applies, of course: you may be moving, grooving, and flowing. There is still a call in the metaphysical for the divine feminine to integrate right now — integrate past hurts and resentments, past injustices, past successes and failures into the fabric of collective consciousness we’re so devotionally weaving.
If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere right now, and you aren’t feeling this connection, ask yourself: Where am I pushing in the masculine space to try and rush or compress the feminine? Where am I forcing, straining, or exhausting myself to create space when really I’m being asked to let this (person / project / experience) fall away?
Surprise
The funny thing about the feminine is that she doesn’t “show up” next to the masculine in the space he’s created for her.
She is the whole container — the void in which space is created in; the fertile ground for growth. If you’re trying to “create” more space for yourself, you’re pushing too hard. The divine feminine asks for magnetism and attraction. When it comes to getting what you want, there’s got to be an easier way.
The guidance right now is to listen. To release. To absorb, embody and integrate.
The light of spring is upon us on the horizon. It’s only a matter of time before we’ll be bursting forth to plant our seeds and leap into our new realities.
